Achievement Begins with a Dream by Azim Premji

Achievement Begins with a Dream

Wipro Chairman Azim Premji feels people who succeed most in their careers are those who can constantly transform themselves

Have a Dream

You have got to have a dream. Dreams are very powerful internal motivators. Great achievements are created twice-first in the mind and then in a concrete form. The most exhilarating part of being young is the ability to dream. As one grows, one may realize that not all of them are achievable. But never turn cynical. Aging is not adding on years. It is parting with one's dreams. Use your experience to reshape your dreams and adapt them to changing reality but do not stop dreaming. I cannot think of a single transformation or achievement, individual or social that did not begin with a dream. Dreams not only help us in seeing things before they happen, but they also give us the passion and energy to make them happen.

Walk that Extra Mile

Stay on course even if you stumble. When everything seems to go wrong, you can either give up or you can let misfortune transform you into something stronger. The difference between great achievement and mediocrity is not extraordinary talent or intelligence, but perseverance. In fact, dreams and perseverance make a winning combination. In 1972, a chartered plane, carrying a Rugby team crashed in the Andes. After a week-long futile search, the rescue team gave up thinking that all of them must be dead. The passengers after waiting for many days to be rescued, decided to help themselves since nobody else was going to do it. Two of them volunteered to cross the mountains on foot to reach the green valleys of Chile and bring back help. It was a walk of more than 50 miles. But they did it and came back to rescue their fellow passengers who managed to survive in the mountain 70 days after the crash. The core of heroism lies in the ability to walk that extra mile. As long as you can do that, you will never be defeated.

Be Natural

Do not be afraid to admit your ignorance. While it is important to project what we are good at, we must be equally candid about areas we do not know enough about. The seeds of learning were sown by the great philosopher Socrates who said "All I know is that I don't know." Today, knowledge is multiplying at such a rapid rate that it is impossible for anyone to know everything. But if we can develop an index system by which we at least know with whom or where the knowledge is available, we have achieved quite a bit! And there will still be areas which we will be unable to tap. The important thing is not to hide behind a false front. People will respect us for our honesty, if not our wisdom.

Look Beyond Success

Think about what you will take on next rather than about what you may be letting go. Too many people are so enamoured by the legacy of success in their current roles that they are afraid to look further. This can lead to inertia. If we linger too long on past success, we will miss out on the opportunities that lie ahead of us. We must learn to look at change as an exciting adventure rather than a disruption. New avenues for learning always lie just beyond the shade of our comfort zone.

Excellence is the Key

Pursue excellence in whatever you do. Excellence cannot be forced through a process nor guaranteed by a certificate. It comes from an all consuming passion to do one's best. It needs an eye for the smallest of details. When differences become small, it is the small things that make the difference. Excellence is a habit not an act.

It needs an eye for the smallest of details. When differences become small, it is the small things that make the difference. Excellence is a habit not an act.

Be Positive

While you must take your careers seriously, do not take yourself too seriously. You have to laugh and find humour everyday. This will help you to keep issues in their perspective. Being cheerful is an attitude. Not only will it help you to reduce your own stress, but a positive attitude is contagious. It can do a lot to elevate the moods of people around you and recharge you to take one more shot at the problems facing you.

Take Turn in Leading

Contribute in every situation. The only way to keep learning is by contributing. You do not have to be the leader every time. When a formation of birds flies over long distances, each bird takes its turn in leading. This ensures that no bird gets too tired and yet the formation keeps moving at a certain pace. Every person is important. It doesn't matter whether you play the violin, the flute or the drums; you are still part of the orchestra. Leadership is not about exercising power as much as it is about contributing. This will happen when we realize that leadership is not a privilege but a responsibility.

Focus on Your Talent

We must know what you are really good at. Rather than trying to be everything to everyone, we must focus on areas where our talents truly lie. A talent can be defined as that skill which we not only enjoy learning but which we can also learn rapidly. We need to work at honing our talent and smoothening the rough edges. But exceptional performance usually comes from doing what comes naturally to us.

Finally, always play to win. Winning is not about making the other person lose. It is about stretching yourself to your own limits. Once so stretched, you will realize the true extent of your potential. Ultimately, transformation is about reaching and utilizing not only your potential but those of others who work with you.

Words of wisdom

If someone hurts you, betrays you, or breaks your heart, forgive them, because they have helped you learn  about trust and the importance of being cautious when you open your heart!

PIECES

Your date of birth is  01Mar1973  & the day is  Thursday

You will be shortly  32  years old
You are  11499  days old as of today
 Your star sign is  PISCES
Your birth stone is   -  AQUAMARINE / CORAL
Good point of your star  -  HIGH INTELLIGENCE
Bad point of your star  -  IMPATIENCE

A dual sign of two fishes, one swimming back toward Aquarius, the other toward Aries, means you can be torn between personal wants and a desire to help others. Your path to fulfillment is to use your abundant imagination.

A born actor, you absorb other people's moods and impressions. Natural sensitivity can help you succeed in whatever you set out to do.

The problem with me

Again and again I am making the same mistake. I must admit that today I have learned that I have not the capability of thinking far ahead in terms of the consequences of actions that I have decided to take. For me there are too many things to settle that I need to execute a quick solution so that I can move on and have less things to worry about. Today, I have been accused of short on common sense by my boss because of the course of action that I choosen. Any more bright ideas Mat? When I give a thought about it, I arrived to a conclusion that what seems a bright idea to me may not be a bright idea to others. It may become a stupid idea instead. Now I am feeling better.

GO KART

This morning I finally have a chance of trying go kart. It was fun and now I know how hard it is during a F1 race. Of course the equipment is different but if you make a mistake no matter how good is your equipment you are going to lose time and lose the race like I did today.

Please read this then pass it on. It might save someone's life
even your own!!!

A cardiologist says If everyone who gets this mail sends it to 10
people, you can bet that we'll save at least one life. Read
this...It could save your life!!

Let's say it's 6.15 pm and you're driving home (alone of course),
after an unusually hard day on the job. You're really tired, upset
and frustrated.

Suddenly you start experiencing severe pain in your chest that
starts to radiate out into your arm and up into your jaw. You are
only about five miles from the hospital nearest your home.
Unfortunately you don't know if you'll be able to make it that
far. You have been trained in CPR,but the guy that taught the
course did not tell you how to perform it on yourself. HOW TO
SURVIVE A HEART ATTACK WHEN ALONE Since many people are alone when
they suffer a heart attack, without help, person whose heart is
beating improperly and who begins to feel faint, has only about 10
seconds left before losing consciousness. However, these victims
can help themselves by coughing repeatedly and very vigorously.
deep breath should be taken before each cough, and the cough must
be deep and prolonged, as when producing sputum from deep inside
the chest.

A breath and a cough must be repeated about every two seconds
without let-up until help arrives, or until the heart is felt to
be beating normally again. Deep breaths get oxygen into the lungs
and coughing movements squeeze the heart and keep the blood
circulating. The squeezing pressure on the heart also helps it
regain normal rhythm. In this way, heart attack victims get to a
hospital.

Tell as many other people as possible about this. It could save
their lives!!

FW: Salty coffee story

He met her on a party. She was lovely, many guys chasing after her,
and he was so normal, nobody paid attention to him.

At the end of the party, he invited her to have coffee with him, she was
surprised, but being polite, she agreed.

They sat in a nice coffee shop, he was too nervous to say anything,
she felt uncomfortable, she thought, please, let me go home.. when suddenly
he asked the waiter: "would you please give me some salt? I'd like to
put it in my coffee."

Everybody stared at him, that's strange!

His face turned red, but, still, he put the salt in his coffee and
drank it.
She asked him curiously "why you drink your coffee this way?"

He replied: "I grew up living near the sea, I liked playing in the
sea when I was younger, I could feel the taste of the sea, just like the
taste of the salty coffee. Now every time I have the salty coffee, I always
think of my childhood, think of my hometown, I miss my hometown so
much, I miss my parents who are still living there".

While saying that tears filled his eyes. She was deeply touched.

Those were his true feelings, from the bottom of his heart. A man who
can talk about his homesickness, he must be a man who loves his home, cares
about his family, is responsible. She also started to speak about her
faraway hometown, her childhood, her family. They jad a nice chat and
it was a beautiful beginning to their story.

They continued to date. She found that he was actually a man who met all
her demands; he had tolerance, was kind hearted, warm, careful. He
was such a good person and she almost missed him!

Thanks to his salty coffee! Then the story was just like every beautiful
love story, the princess marries the prince, they lived a happy life ...
And, every time she made coffee for him, she put some salt in the
coffee, as she knew that's the way he liked it.

After 40 happy years, he passed away and he left her a letter. It
said:
"My dearest, please forgive me, forgive my whole life's lie. This was
the only lie I said to you---the salty coffee. Remember the first
time we dated? I was so nervous at that time, actually I wanted some
sugar, but I said salt It was hard for me to change so I just went ahead.
I never thought that could be the start of our communication! I
tried to tell you the truth many times in my life, but I was too
afraid to do that, as I have promised not to lie to you for anything..

Now I'm dying, I afraid of nothing so I tell you the truth: I don't
like the salty coffee, what a strange bad taste.. But I have had the
salty coffee for my whole life! Since I knew you, I never feel sorry
for anything I do for you.

Having you with me is my biggest happiness for my whole life. If I
can live for the second time, still want to know you and have you for
my whole life, even though I have to drink the salty coffee again".

Her tears made the letter totally wet.

Someday, someone asked her: what's the taste of salty coffee?
It's sweet. She replied.

Pass this 2 everyone coz love is

not 2 forget but 2 forgive

not 2 c but understand

not 2 hear but 2 listen

not 2 let go but HOLD ON !!!!

Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss and ends with a tear.

How Bosses View Men & Women

How the company views its employees. (HE VS SHE)

The family picture is on HIS desk.
Ah, a solid, responsible family man.
The family picture is on HER desk.
Umm, her family will come before her career.

 HIS desk is cluttered.
He's obviously a hard worker and a busy man.
 HER desk is cluttered.
 She's obviously a disorganised scatterbrain.

(I think this part is especially true)
HE is talking with his co-workers.
He must be discussing the latest deal.
SHE is talking with her co-workers.
 She must be gossiping.

 HE's not at his desk.
He must be at a meeting.
 SHE's not at her desk.
She must be in the ladies' room.

 HE's not in the office.
 He's meeting with customers.
 SHE's not in the office.
 She must be out shopping.

HE's having lunch with the boss.
 He's on his way up.
SHE's having lunch with the boss.
They must be having an affair.

 The boss criticised HIM.
 He'll improve his performance.
 The boss criticised HER.
 She'll be very upset.

 HE got an unfair deal.
 Did he get angry?
 SHE got an unfair deal.
 Did she cry?

 HE's getting married.
 He'll get more settled.
 SHE's getting married.
 She'll get pregnant and leave.

 (This part is GOOD too)
 HE's having a baby.
 He'll need a raise.
 SHE's having a baby.
She'll cost the company money in maternity benefits.

HE's going on a business trip.
 It's good for his career.
SHE's going on a business trip.
 What does her husband say?

HE's leaving for a better job.
He knows how to recognise a good opportunity.
SHE's leaving for a better job.

Seven Wonders of the World

A group of students were asked to list what they thought were the
present "Seven Wonders of the World."
Though there were some disagreements, the following received the most votes:
>1. Egypt's Great Pyramids
>2. Taj Mahal
>3. Grand Canyon
>4. Panama Canal
>5. Empire State Building
>6. St. Peter's Basilica
>7. China's Great Wall

While gathering the votes, the teacher noted that one student had not
finished her paper yet. So she asked the girl if she was having
trouble with her list. The girl replied, "Yes, a little. I couldn't
quite make up my mind because there were so many."

The teacher said, "Well, tell us what you have, and maybe we can help."

The girl hesitated, then read, "I think the 'Seven Wonders of the World' are:
>1. to see
>2. to hear
>3. to touch
>4. to taste
>5. to feel
>6. to laugh
>7. and to love."

The room was so quiet you could have heard a pin drop. The things we
overlook as simple and ordinary and that we take for granted are truly
wondrous! A gentle reminder -- that the most precious things in life
cannot be built by hand or bought by man.

FW: a true story

From the very begining, the gal's family objected strongly on her dating
this
guy, saying that it has got to do with family background, & that the gal
will have to suffer for the rest of her life if she were to be with him.
Due to family's pressure, the couple quarreled very often. Though the gal
loves
the guy deeply, she always asked him: "How deep is your love for me?" As
the guy is not good with his words, this often caused the gal to be very
upset.
With that & the family's pressure, the gal often vented her anger on him.
As for him, he only endured it in silence.

After a couple of years, the guy finally graduated & decided to further his
studies in overseas. Before leaving, he proposed to the gal: "I'm not very
good with words. But all I know is that I love you. If you allow me, I
will take care of you for the rest of my life. As for your family, I'll try
my
best to talk them round. Will you marry me?" The gal agreed, & with the
guy's determination, the family finally gave in & agreed to let them get
married.

So before he left, they got engaged. The gal went out to the working
society, whereas the guy was overseas, continuing his studies. They sent
their love through emails & phone calls. Though it's hard, but both never
thought of giving up.One day, while the gal was on her way to work, she was
knocked down by a car that lost control. When she woke up, she saw her
parents beside her bed. She realised that she was badly injured. Seeing her
mum crying, she wanted to comfort her. But she realized that all that could
come out of her mouth was just a sigh. She has lost her voice....

The doctors said that the impact on her brain has caused her to lose her
voice. Listening to her parents' comfort, but with nothing coming out from
her, she broke down. During the stay in hospital, besides crying, it's just
her silent cry that accompanied her. Upon reaching home, everything seems
to be the same. Except for the ringing tone of the phone. Which pierced her
heart every time it rang? She does not wish to let the guy know & not
wanting to be a burden to him, she wrote a letter to him saying at she does
not wish to wait any longer. With that, she sent the engagement ring back
to him. In return, the guy sent millions & millions of replies, countless
phone calls, all the gal could do was to cry silently. The parents decided
to move away, hoping that she could eventually forget everything & be
happy.
With a new environment, the gal learned sign language & started a new life.
Telling her everyday that she must forget the guy.

One day, her friend came & told her that her boyfriend is back. She asked
her friend not to let him know what happened to her. Since then, there
wasn't any news of him. A year has passed & her friend came with an
envelope
containing an invitation for the guy's wedding. The gal was shattered.
When she opened the card, she saw her name in it instead. When she was about
to
ask her friend what's going on, she saw the guy standing in front of her.
He used sign language telling her "I've spent a year's time to learn sign
language. Just to let you know that I've not forgotten our promise, let me
have the chance to be your voice. I Love You." With that, he slipped the
engagement ring back into her finger. The gal finally smiled.

*Treat every relationship as if it's the last one, then you'll know how to
give... Treat every moment as is if it's the last day, then you'll know how
to treasure.

Programmer

Bob Smith, my assistant programmer, can always be found
hard at work at his desk. He works independently, without
wasting company time talking to colleagues. Bob never
thinks twice about assisting fellow employees, and always
finishes given assignments on time. Often he takes extended
measures to complete his work, sometimes skipping coffee
breaks. Bob is a dedicated individual who has absolutely no
vanity in spite of his high accomplishments and profound
knowledge in his field. I firmly believe that Bob can be
classed as an asset employee, the type which cannot be
dispensed with. Consequently, I duly recommend that Bob be
promoted to executive management, and a proposal will be
 executed as soon as possible.

 Addendum:

That idiot was standing over my shoulder while I wrote the report
sent to you earlier today. Kindly re-read only the odd numbered lines.

13.8.04

I am so Blessed, and so are you.

If you woke up this morning
with more health than illness,
you are more blessed than the
million who won't survive the week.

If you have never experienced
the danger of battle,
the loneliness of imprisonment,
the agony of torture or
the pangs of starvation,
you are ahead of 20 million people
around the world.

If you attend a prayer
without fear of harassment,
arrest, torture, or death,
you are more blessed than almost
three billion people in the world.

If you have food in your refrigerator,
clothes on your back, a roof over
your head and a place to sleep,
you are richer than 75% of this world.

If you have money in the bank,
in your wallet, and spare change
in a dish someplace, you are among
the top 8% of the world's wealthy.

If your parents are still married and alive,
you are very rare,
especially in the United States.

If you hold up your head with a smile
on your face and are truly thankful,
you are blessed because the majority can,
but most do not.

If you can hold someone's hand, hug them
or even touch them on the shoulder,
you are blessed because you can
offer God's healing touch.

If you can read this message,
you are more blessed than over
two billion people in the world
that cannot read anything at all.

You are so blessed in ways
you may never even know.

If you are feeling blessed, repay the blessings
bestowed unto you and do something for others.

A blessing cannot be kept.  If it stops with you,
then the blessing will disappear. The blessing will only keep
working if it is continuously passed around. If you are a
recipient of a blessing, keep the blessing working by being the source of blessing to other people.

The Brick

Read this line very slowly and let it sink in...
If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.

THE BRICK

A young and successful executive was travelling down a
neighbourhood street, going a bit too fast in his new Jaguar.
He was watching for kids darting out from between parked cars
and slowed down when he thought he saw something.
As his car passed, no children appeared.
Instead, a brick smashed into the Jag's side door!
He slammed on the brakes and backed the Jag back to the spot
where the brick had been thrown.
The angry driver then jumped out of the car, grabbed the
earest kid and pushed him up against a parked car shouting,
"What was that all about and who are you?
Just what the heck are you doing?
That's a new car and that brick you threw is going to cost a
lot of money.
Why did you do it?"
The young boy was apologetic.
"Please, mister...please,
I'm sorry but I didn't know what else to do,"He pleaded.
"I threw the brick because no one else would stop..." With
tears dripping
down his face and off his chin, the youth pointed to a spot
just around parked car.
"It's my brother," he said.
"He rolled off the curb and fell out of his wheelchair and I
can't lift him up."
Now sobbing, the boy asked the stunned executive,
"Would you please help me get him back into his wheelchair?
He's hurt and
he's too heavy for me."
Moved beyond words, the driver tried to swallow the rapidly
swelling lump in his throat.
He hurriedly lifted the handicapped boy back into the
wheelchair, then took
out a linen handkerchief and dabbed at the fresh scrapes and
cuts.
A quick look told him everything was going to be okay..
"Thank you and may God bless you,"the grateful child told the
stranger.

Too shook up for words, the man simply watched the boy push
his
wheelchair-bound brother down the sidewalk toward their home

It was a long, slow walk back to the Jaguar.
The damage was very noticeable, but the driver never bothered
to repair the
dented side door. He kept the dent there to remind him of this
message

"Don't go through life so fast that someone has to throw a
brick at you to
get your attention!"

God whispers in our souls and speaks to our hearts.
Sometimes when we don't have time to listen, He has to throw a
brick at us.

It's our choice to listen or not.

Thought for the Day:

If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it.

If He had a wallet, your photo would be in it.

He sends you flowers every spring.

He sends you a sunrise every morning.

Face it, friend - He is crazy about you!

Send this to every "beautiful person" you wish to bless, .
God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow,
sun without
rain, but He did promise strength for the day,
comfort for the tears, and light for the way

> > > > Pass this message to seven people except you and me.
> > > >
> > > > You will receive a miracle tomorrow ( just do it)!
> > > >

Something to think about

A well-known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20.00 bill.
In the room of 200, he asked, "Who would like this $20 bill?" Hands started
going up.

He said, "I am going to give this $20 to one of you but first, let me do
this. He proceeded to crumple the $20 dollar bill Up.

He then asked, "Who still wants it?" Still the hands were up in the Air.

Well, he replied, "What if I do this?" And he dropped it on the ground and
started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, Now
crumpled and dirty. "Now, who still wants it?"
Still the hands went into the air.

My friends, we have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I
did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value.

It was still worth $20. Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled,
and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances
that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless. But no matter what has
happened or what will happen, you will never
lose your value. Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still
priceless to those who DO LOVE you.
The worth of our lives comes not in what we do or who we know, but by WHO
WE
ARE.

You are special - Don't EVER forget it."

If you do not pass this on, you may never know the lives it touches, the
hurting hearts it speaks to, or the hope that it can bring.

Count your blessings, not your problems.

Never be afraid to try something new.

And remember: amateurs built the ark ...professionals built the Titanic.

Read Slowly - This first line is deep..

If God brings you to it - He will bring you through it.

Lord I love You and I need You; come into my heart today. Without You, I
can
do nothing.

God will either lighten your load or He will strengthen your back.

Marriages are made in heaven, but the married couples are responsible for maintenance.

In marriage, being the right person is just as important as finding the right one.

A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person.

The great thing about marriage is that it enables one to be alone without feeling lonely.

If only couples trust each other to work towards honestly and intimacy, then they could do what most unfaithful spouses are afraid to try : to live together happily ever after.

Married couples have to realize that the problem is not 'US', but the 'SITUATION'.

You don't marry one person. You marry THREE-
The person you think they are;
The person they are;
And the person they're going to be as a result of being married to you.

|A Cuppa Coffee

|When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours
|in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar..and the
|coffee...
|
|A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in
|front of
|him.
|
|When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty
|mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked
|the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was. So the
|professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the
|jar.
|He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas
|between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar
|was
|full.
|They agreed it was. The professor next picked up a box of sand and
|poured it
|into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked
|once
|more if the jar was full. The students responded with a
|unanimous "yes."
|
|The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table
|and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the
|empty space between the sand. The students laughed.
|
|"Now," said the professor, as the laughter subsided, " I want you to
|recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the
|important things - your God, family, your children, your health, your
|friends, and your favorite passions-things that if everything else was
|lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.
|
|The pebbles are the other things that matter like! your job, your
|house, and your car. The sand is everything else-the small stuff." "If
|you put the sand into the jar first," he continued, "there is no room
|for
|the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend
|all
|your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for
|the things that are important to you. Pay attention to the things

|There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal.
|Take

|
|One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee

FW: An Email

A jobless man applied for the position of "office boy" at Microsoft. The
HR manager interviewed him, then a test: clean the floor. "You are engaged"
he said, "give me your e-mail address and I'll send you the application
froms to fill, as well confirm when you will start".

The man replied, " I don't have a computer, neither an email".
I'm sorry, said the HR manager, if you don't have an email id, which
means you do not exist. And who doesn't exist, cannot have the job. The man was
left with no hope at all. He didn't know what to do, with only $10 in his
pocket.
He then decided to go to the supermarket and buy a 10 Kg tomato crate.
He then sold the tomatoes in a door-to-door round. In less than two hours,
he
managed to make $20. He repeated the operation three times, and returned
home with  $60. The man realized that he can survive this way, and
started to start everyday earlier, and return late.
Thus, his money doubles or triples every day. Shortly later, he bough! t a
cart, then a truck, and then he had his own fleet of delivery vehicles.
Five years later, the man is one of the biggest food retailers in the US. He
wanted to plan his family's future, and decided to take an insurance
policy.
He called an insurance broker to choose a protection plan

When the deal was concluded, the broker asked him his email id. The man
replied, "I don't have an email id". The broker was curious, "You don't
have an email id! And yet have succeeded to build an empire. Can you imagine
what
you could have been if you had an email id?"

The man thought for a while and replied, " Yes, I'd be an office boy at
Microsoft

Tahlilan Dan Kenduri Arwah Mengikut Mazhab Syafie..kita ikut siapa?

 BAB PERTAMA

(as-Subuki, Taklimatul Majmu', Syarah Muhazzab: juz 10, hal; 426)

(Al-Haitami, al-Fatawa al-Kubra al-Fiqhiyah : juz 2, hal; 9)

  (Tepi al-Umm as-Syafie : juz 7, hal ; 269)

"Allahumma ausil tsawmaba ma wara'nahu ila ruhi fulan."

Tahlilan Dan Kenduri Arwah Mengikut Mazhab Syafie/2

BAB KEDUA

(I'anatut Talibin, syarah Fathul Mu'in :juz 2, hal 145)

(As-Syafie al-Umm : juz 1; hal 248)

(I'anatut Talibin, juz 2, hal 146)

(I'anatut Talibin, juz 2, hal 146)

(meratapi mayat) iaitu haram."
(Mughnil Muhtaj, juz1, hal 268)

(Hasyiyatul Qalyubi, juz 1, hal 353)

(an-Nawawi, al-Majmu' syarah Muhazab, juz 5, hal 286)

(I'anatut Talibin, juz 2, hal 145-146)

(I'anatut Talibin, juz 2, hal 145-146)

(I'anatut Talibin, juz 2, hal 145-146)

(Abdurrahman al-Jaza'iri, al-Fiqhu Ala Mazahibil Arba'ah, juz 1, hal 539)

Dari Abdullah bin 'Amr r.a., Rasulullah s.a.w. bersabda,
Sampaikanlah pesanku biarpun satu ayat...

KISAH WAHYU TERAKHIR KEPADA RASULULLAH S.A.W.

Setelah Rasulullah s.a.w. mengumpulkan para sahabat beliau, maka Rasulullah s.a.w. pun menceritakan apa yang telah diberitahu oleh malaikat Jibril a.s..
Mendengarkan pertanyaan dari para sahabat maka Abu Bakar r.a. pun berkata:
Sebaik sahaja Rasulullah s.a.w. sampai di rumah Abu Bakar r.a. maka Rasulullah s.a.w. melihat kesemua mereka yang menangis dan bertanya: "Wahai para sahabatku, kenapakah kamu semua menangis?." Kemudian Ali r.a. berkata: "Ya Rasulullah s.a.w., Abu Bakar r.a. mengatakan dengan turunnya ayat ini membawa tanda bahawa waktu wafatmu telah dekat. Adakah ini benar ya Rasulullah?." Lalu Rasulullah s.a.w. berkata: "Semua yang dikata oleh Abu Bakar r.a. adalah benar, dan sesungguhnya masa untuk aku meninggalkan kamu semua telah hampir dekat."
Sebaik sahaja Abu Bakar r.a. mendengar pengakuan Rasulullah s.a.w., maka ia pun menangis sekuat tenaganya sehingga ia jatuh pengsan, sementara Ali r.a. pula mengeletar seluruh tubuhnya.
Kemudian Rasulullah s.a.w. menunaikan solat dua raka'at bersama semua yang hadir.
Rasulullah s.a.w. berkata: "Wahai 'Ukasyah, Rasulullah s.a.w. sengaja memukul kamu."
Lalu Bilal r.a. berkata: "Saya Bilal, saya telah diperintahkan oleh Rasulullah s.a.w. unluk mengambil tongkat beliau."Kemudian Fatimah r.a. berkata: "Wahai Bilal, untuk apa ayahku minta tongkatnya." Berkata Bilal r.a.: "Wahai Fatimah, Rasulullah s.a.w. telah menyediakan dirinya untuk diqishash." Bertanya Fatimah. r.a. lagi: "Wahai Bilal, siapakah manusia yang sampai hatinya untuk menqishash Rasulullah s.a.w.?."Bilal r.a. tidak menjawab perlanyaan Falimah r.a., sebaik sahaja Fatimah r.a. memberikan tongkat tersebut, maka Bilal pun membawa tongkat itu kepada Rasulullah s.a.w.
Setelah Rasulullah s.a.w. menerima tongkat tersebut dari Bilal r.a. maka beliau pun menyerahkan kepada 'Ukasyah. Melihatkan hal yang demikian maka Abu Bakar r.a. dan Umar r.a. tampil ke hadapan sambil berkata: "Wahai 'Ukasyah, janganlah kamu qishash baginda s.a.w. tetapi kamu qishashlah kami berdua." Apabila Rasulullah s.a.w. mendengar kata-kata Abu Bakar r.a. dan Umar r.a. maka dengan segera beliau berkata: "Wahai Abu Bakar, Umar, duduklah kamu berdua sesungguhnya Allah s.w.t. telah menetapkan tempatnya untuk kamu berdua." Kemudian Ali r.a. bangun, lalu berkata: "Wahai "Ukasyah! Aku adalah orang yang sentiasa berada di samping Rasulullah s.a.w. oleh itu kamu pukullah aku dan janganlah kamu menqishash Rasulullah s.a.w." Lalu Rasulullah s.a.w. berkata: "Wahai Ali, duduklah kamu sesungguhnya Allah s.w.t. telah menetapkan tempatmu dan mengetahui isi hatimu."
Setelah itu Hasan dan Husin bangun dengan berkata: "Wahai 'Ukasyah, bukankah kamu tidak tahu bahawa kami ini adalah cucu Rasulullah s.a.w., kalau kamu menqishash kami sama dengan kamu menqishash Rasulullah s.a.w." Mendengar kata-kata cucunya Rasulullah s.a.w. pun berkata: "Wahai buah hatiku, duduklah kamu berdua." Berkata Rasulullah s.a.w. "Wahai 'Ukasyah pukullah saya kalau kamu hendak memukul." Kemudian 'Ukasyah berkata: "Ya Rasulullah s.a.w., anda telah memukul saya sewaktu saya tidak memakai baju." Maka Rasulullah s.a.w. pun membuka baju, sebaik sahaja Rasulullah s.a.w. membuka baju maka menangislah semua yang hadir.
Setelah Rasulullah s.a.w. berkata demikian, maka sakit Rasulullah s.a.w. bermula. Pada hari Isnin penyakit Rasulullah s.a.w. bertambah berat, setelah Bilal r.a. selesaikan azan subuh, maka Bilal r.a. pun pergi ke rumah Rasulullah s.a.w.. Sesampainya Bilal r.a. di rumah Rasulullah s.a.w. maka Bilal r.a. pun memberi salam: "Assalaarnualaika ya rasulullah." Lalu dijawab oleh Fatimah r.a.: "Rasulullah s.a.w. masih sibuk dengan urusan beliau." Setelah Bilal r.a. mendengar penjelasan dari Fatimah r.a. maka Bilal r.a. pun kembali ke masjid tanpa memahami kata-kata Fatimah r.a. itu.
Apabila waktu subuh hampir hendak lupus, lalu Bilal pergi sekali lagi ke rumah Rasulullah s.a.w. dan memberi salam seperti permulaan tadi, kali ini salam Bilal r.a. telah di dengar oleh Rasulullah s.a.w. dan baginda berkata; "Masuklah wahai bilal, sesungguhnya penyakitku ini semakin berat, oleh itu kamu suruhlah Abu Bakar mengimarnkan solat subuh berjemaah dengan mereka yang hadir." Setelah mendengar kata-kata Rasulullah s.a.w. maka Bilal r.a. pun berjalan menuju ke masjid sambil meletakkan tangan di atas kepala dengan berkata: "Aduh musibah." Sebaik sahaja Bilal r.a. sarnpai di masjid maka Bilal r.a. pun memberitahu Abu Bakar tentang apa yang telah Rasulullah s.a.w. katakan kepadanya.
Setelah berkala demikian maka Rasulullah s.a.w. pun pulang ke rumah beliau.
Setelah malaikat lzrail sampai di hadapan rumah Rasulullah s.a.w. maka ia pun memberi salam: "Assalaamu alaikum yaa ahia baitin nubuwwati wa ma danir risaalati a adkhulu?" [Mudah-mudahan keselamatan tetap untuk kamu semua sekalian, wahai penghuni rumah nabi dan sumber risaalah, bolehkan saya masuk?" Apabila Fatimah mendengar orang memberi salam maka ia-pun berkata; "Wahai hamba Allah, Rasulullah s.a.w. sedang sibuk sebab sakitnya yang semakin berat."
Kemudian malaikat lzrail berkata lagi seperti dipermulaannya, dan kali ini seruan malaikat itu telah didengar oleh Rasulullah s.a.w. dan Rasulullah s.a.w. bertanya kepada Falimah r.a.: "Wahai Fatimah, siapakah di depan pintu itu." Maka Fatimah r.a. pun berkata: "Ya Rasulullah, ada seorang Arab badwi memanggil mu, dan aku telah katakan kepadanya bahawa anda sedang sibuk sebab sakit, sebaliknya dia memandang saya dengan tajam sehingga saya merasa mcnggigil badan saya." Kemudian Rasulullah s.a.w. berkata; "Wahai Fatimah, tahu-kah kamu siapakah orang itu?." Jawab Fatimah; "Tidak ayah."
Kemudian Rasulullah s.a.w. pun menjemput malaikat lzrail masuk. Berkata Rasulullah s.a.w.: "Wahai lzrail, di manakah kamu tinggalkan Jibril?" Berkata lzrail: "Saya tinggalkan Jibril di langit dunia, semua para malaikat sedang memuliakan dia."
Tidak beberapa saat kemudian Jibril a.s. pun turun dan duduk dekat kepala Rasulullah s.a.w. Apabila Rasulullah s.a.w. melihat kedatangan Jibril a.s. maka Rasulullah s.a.w. pun berkata: "Wahai Jibril, tahukah kamu bahawa ajalku sudah dekat" Berkata Jibril a.s.: "Ya aku memang tahu." Rasulullah s.a.w. bertanya lagi: "Wahai Jibril, beritahu kepadaku kemuliaan yang menggembirakan aku disisi Allah s.w.t." Berkata Jibril a.s.: "Sesungguhnya semua pintu langit telah dibuka, para malaikat bersusun rapi menanti rohmu dilangit.
Berkala Rasulullah s.a.w.: "Alhamdulillah, sekarang kamu katakan pula tentang umatku di hari kiamat nanti." Kemudian Rasulullah s.a.w. berkata: "Wahai lzrail, dekatlah kamu kepadaku."
Selelah itu Malaikat lzrail pun memulakan tugasnya, apabila roh nya sampai pada pusat, maka Rasulullah s.a.w. pun berkata: "Wahai Jibril, alangkah dahsyatnya rasa mati." Jibril a.s. mengalihkan pandangan dari Rasulullah s.a.w. apabila mendengar kata-kata beliau itu. Melihatkan telatah Jibril a.s. itu maka Rasulullah s.a.w. pun berkata: "Wahai Jibril, apakah kamu tidak suka melihat wajahku?"
